Wine Tasting Great Success

SouthStar CDC held the First Annual Wine Tasting and Art Show fundraiser at Chance’s Gallery on August 14. Over 60 people attended and sampled wine and hors d'oeuvres. The proceeds of the event will support SouthStar CDC’s Neighbors Helping Neighbors program to repair houses for homeowners who are elderly or disabled.

East Atlanta Village Streetscape Enters a New Phase

In November, SouthStar CDC conducted a public meeting at Branan Towers to showcase the planned streetscape improvements as suggested by the East Atlanta Village  Design Committee. The EAV Design Committee is a group of community residents from the East Atlanta Community Association and business and property owners from the East Atlanta Business Association that has been working over the past several months with landscape architect Tunnell-Spangler-Walsh & Associates on the streetscape design.
