The Board of Directors of SouthStar Community Development Corporation has elected Bronwyn Morgan, a southeast Atlanta resident with a passion for healthy, diverse & sustainable neighborhoods, to a two-year term.

Bronwyn Morgan is CEO of Sweetwater Strategy Branding & Design and an East Atlanta resident and business owner for several years. Morgan brings 20 years of sales, marketing, interior design, and client management experience, including roles with two global consumer goods leaders. Morgan is also building her capability in green design through LEED - Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design.

Since 1998, SouthStar CDC has fostered neighborhood projects and partnerships that focus on sustainable social and economic community development in southeast Atlanta. The organization has led redevelopment planning for the East Atlanta Village and the south Moreland Avenue corridor, and in 2007 successfully won a Livable Centers Initiative study grant from the Atlanta Regional Commission to look at the long-term vision for Moreland Avenue from I-20 south to Constitution Avenue.
